On behalf of our legal team at Best And Brock, we would like to congratulate Attorney Matt Brock for being selected to the 2019 Tennessee Rising Stars list by Super Lawyers. This is the second consecutive time he has been honored with this distinguished acknowledgment. Garth Best was a 2018 winner and Andrea Hayduk was named from 2011-2017.
Attorney Brock primarily handles DUI and drug-related cases, although he is capable of working on a wide range of criminal cases from misdemeanors to federal cases. He is an NHTSA-certified instructor in DUI Detection & Standardized Field Sobriety Testing that academy cadets must take to make DUI arrests, licensed in Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement (ARIDE) to determine if officers properly claim reasonable suspicion, and trained in drug recognition evaluation (DRE) to understand how officers test of drug intoxication.
Attorney Brock is also an Ambassador for the DUI Defense Lawyer’s Association and a member of the Chattanooga Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys and the National Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys. Besides serving clients in Hamilton County, TN, he was recently admitted to the Georgia State Bar and started taking cases in the northern counties.
Super Lawyers is a nationally recognized rating service that selects the top lawyers in each state and region. The selection process consists of independent researchers, peer review nominations, and other forms of evaluations to score accomplished and highly regarded attorneys from over 70 practice areas.
The Rising Stars list consists of 2.5 percent of lawyers in each state. To be eligible for the Rising Stars honor, a candidate must be either 40 years of age or younger, or been practicing law for 10 years or less.
