Extended Supreme Court Order

On April 24, 2020, the Tennessee Supreme Court issued an ORDER modifying the suspension of in-person court proceedings and extending the deadlines. The Order extended the dates for limited in-person hearings through May 31, 2020, and jury trials through July 3, 2020. Judges in each jurisdiction are directed to develop a plan to gradually begin conducting in-person hearings (other than jury trials) or to continue with the original guidelines and restrictions set forth in the March 25, 2020 Order.

Hamilton County has not set forth a written plan and is currently handling cases under the prior provisions. A copy of the Order is attached hereto. If you have a court date set on or prior to May 31, 2020, it will be continued and likely set at some point after July. New court dates will be posted on the Hamilton County Court website or Best And Brock, PLLC will call you with an updated court date on or before your current date.
