Timothy J. “Tim” Crosby serves as of counsel to Best And Brock, where his practice focuses on personal injury and wrongful death matters. First and foremost, Tim is a trial attorney, with a particular focus on trial work, legal research, and writing. He has practiced law in Tennessee since 2017.
Tim was raised in rural Southern Illinois in a family of attorneys and educators. His father and oldest sister became attorneys, while his mother and two other sisters worked in education. By his family’s example, Tim learned that professional success includes helping the people and communities around you. That principle continues to shape his practice.
Education and Early Legal Experience
Tim attended the University of Illinois. After graduating, he moved to Appalachia to serve economically disadvantaged communities in southwestern West Virginia.
He later earned his law degree from Southern Illinois University School of Law in 2016. While in law school, Tim gained experience within the federal court clerk system and clerked for personal injury firms, including spending a summer as a clerk in Savannah, Georgia. These experiences gave him an early foundation in legal research, writing, civil litigation, and case preparation.
Personal Injury and Wrongful Death Practice
After law school, Tim made Chattanooga home and built his legal career in the area. His practice focuses on representing people in personal injury cases and families pursuing wrongful death claims.
Tim approaches these matters as a trial attorney. His work includes reviewing the facts and records, researching the applicable law, developing written arguments, and preparing cases with litigation in mind. He understands the focus and care required when representing people dealing with serious injury or the loss of a loved one.
Tim has also worked on class-action and mass-tort litigation during his career. Today, in addition to serving as of counsel to Best And Brock, he is part of Whitfield Crosby & Flynn, a trial-focused firm with a Chattanooga office. His broader litigation experience complements his local work representing personal injury and wrongful death clients.

Research and writing are central parts of Tim’s practice. He works to identify the legal issues that control a case, analyze the available evidence, and develop clear written arguments supported by the record.

Tim has practiced in Tennessee since 2017 and has spent much of his career working in the Chattanooga area. Through his role as of counsel to Best And Brock, he continues to serve clients in Chattanooga, Hamilton County, and surrounding communities.
Chattanooga became home to Tim after law school. His continued work with Best And Brock reflects the importance he places on serving the community where he lives and works.
