Our firm is named for our two lawyers: Garth Best and Matt Brock, each of whom has been named as Super Lawyers by Thomson Reuters. We are committed to advocating aggressively for our clients in cases ranging from DUI to violent crimes. Our Attorneys
As criminal defense and personal injury attorneys, we understand that the legal system is not set up in favor of defendants or plaintiffs. That is why we have shaped our entire practice to be client-centered and compassionate. Our lawyers take special care to explain the court process and ensure that clients feel heard and understood. We understand that a crime does not define a defendant.
Founding Attorney
Attorney R. Garth Best is an alumnus from the prestigious Virginia Military Institute (Class of 2003). Upon graduation from VMI, he received a degree in International Studies (B.A.) with a concentration in Middle Eastern Studies, as well as a minor in Arabic and Business.

Founding Attorney
Matt Brock is an alumnus of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville (Class of 2005). Upon graduation from UTK, he received a degree in Political Science (B.A.). While in college Mr. Brock founded an E-Commerce business that he later sold in 2013.
Associate Attorney
Phil Spitalny was born and raised in Chattanooga. He is a graduate of the University of Colorado, where he received a B.A. in Political Science. Phil received his Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia Law School in 2013 where he graduated cum laude.
Associate Attorney
First and foremost, Tim is a trial attorney. His practice focuses on all matters of personal injury and wrongful death; specializing in trial work and research and writing. He understands the focus and care required to seek justice for those who are dealing with tragic injury or death.
